My sister gave me Dr. Browns Manual Breast Pump as a baby shower present; this was specifically for me to learn something about breastfeeding. The instant I started using it, I fell in love with it. It’s a manual breast pump but works just as well as any electric breast pump. Although I later bought the electric breast pump by the same company, because I wanted to quicken things but there isn’t much of a difference between the two. The manual is just as comfortable and easy to use. For me at least, it expresses just the same amount of milk as my electric breast pump. It may cost slightly more than other manual breast pumps but its performance is worth the few extra bucks. The pump has a comfortable fit and the function is great, it takes only a few minutes to express milk and best of all, it is never painful!
Dr. Brown’s use a technology that best mimics the way our babies suckle and hence, the comfort and perfection! Furthermore, assembling this simple pump takes a couple of minutes maximum and cleaning the pump is also pretty simple. This pump really saved my life during the first couple of weeks after my baby was born. I was having a hard time breastfeeding and my milk supply wasn’t nearly enough. But when I used this pump, I found out that it actually helped me to increase my milk supply! It was a complete life-saver! Not only that, it was so comfortable; while my electric breast pump pulled at my nipples and made them sore, this one was so gentle it almost felt like nursing my own baby! The pump actually helped me to relax after all the days I spent fretting and I could finally establish a smooth and continuous flow of milk.
