Philips Avent Isis iQ Duo Twin Electronic Breast Pump

The best thing about an electric pump like Avent Isis iQ Duo is the fact that it is extremely lightweight and portable, a feature uncommon in electric pumps. I work and so I needed a pump that was easy to carry to work, Avent Isis iQ Duo is just that. I used to carry it in my purse if it was large enough but now I have also purchased the carry bag with it so I have absolutely no problem carrying my personal pump anywhere I want whether its work or a weekend trip. As far as the use is concerned, I can empty both my breasts in 10 to 13 minutes maximum and that’s as fast as it can get. With such a fast and smooth milk flow, I can express lots of milk for my baby and maintain a healthy supply of milk for when I want to nurse my baby. Although I haven’t used the option but you can use this pump as a manual one too. It’s quiet, very effective and smooth. This pump is extremely comfortable, even more so than the other electric pumps I have tried which makes me say that it was worth every penny I spent on it and so, I would definitely recommend this to all mothers!
I am amazed at its effectiveness and smoothness

When I used a hospital grade pump in the hospital when my baby was born, I was amazed at its effectiveness and smoothness. Ever since, I have been looking for that kind of a pump and the Avent Isis iQ Duo is the closest I have gotten to that. Avent Isis iQ Duo features silicone cushions for the cups which increase comfort while pumping; comfort is a vital element because when you are not comfortable you cannot pump successfully! For me, the best advantage of the Avent Isis iQ Duo is its light-weight, portability factor; I carry this pump in the accompanying bag to and from work and almost about everywhere else with discretion. I need to only use this pump for 10 to 20 minutes but I have also increased the frequency of milk expression because of the pump’s amazing efficiency. I also found the pump relatively easy to use, thanks to the simple instruction booklet which comes with it. It is also easy to clean as well. I have noticed that the Avent bottles are also better and I almost never get any milk in the tubing which reduces my cleaning work to a great degree. The entire pump along with bottles and tubing is sturdy so I am expecting my pump to last me quite a while.
Great in the beginning, now pumping is such a hassle

I bought the Avent pump at a Target store in January and had my baby about 7 days after the purchase in February. The Avent Isis iQ Duo worked great until 3 months after use. Now it is extremely loud and has lost a lot of suction power. Pumping is now such a hassle and I just hate the pump. I will be calling Avent customer service to complain this week and to see what they can do about it. I will come back here with an update. I kept giving it a chance to fix itself or something but now 4 months after the initial problems, the pump is "packing up" and "dying" on me.
