What Makes A Useful Breast Pump Review

These days you can find many breast pumps available in the market. The most challenging aspect therefore would be to choose the one that will serve your purpose the way you wanted it to. The choices in front of you can easily mislead you. Obviously it can get confusing when you consider the medela pump style advanced, avent isis pump, ameda purely yours, lansinoh electric breast pump and more!

There are approximately 6 major brands and 20-30 different kinds of breast pumps in the open market. When this is the scenario, how do you choose the right one? Breast pump reviews might just come to your rescue in this regard. A good breast pump review will always be able to give the right kind of information and can guide you while choosing the right one. Each and every aspect of breast pumps will be covered in these reviews. Choosing a right pump using these reviews can help a mother in being less stressful and make her job easier.

A good breast pump review could suggest you to buy an electric pump instead of a manual pump or vice versa. Going through such kinds of reviews can go a long way in deciding which pump is better for you. You can easily identify a good review from a set of bad ones. This is because good reviews will focus on different areas of breast pumps and not just a single one.

For example, a good review will let you know about different settings you need to look for in operating a breast pump, how to adjust speeds while using them, how to position the breast cups correctly so that they make you feel more secure and so on. A good review will also suggest if you have to sterilize a pump or not. There are few pumps available in the market that is pre-sterilized while others are not. While few pumps are easy to clean others are not.

If all the features mentioned in a good review are not met in a breast pump, there is no need to go ahead and buy one. This is the real benefit of a good review that comes into fore when properly considered. Breast pumps come with their own set of accessories that are unique to each model. A good review will also advise you on those accessories and through more light on them.

While most breast pumps come with one bottle and a cap, others come with additional materials as well. There are few breast pumps that come with six bottles, a pump and a nipple just in case you need to feed the baby after you pump. These pumps also contain breast shields which are durable and can be removed for cleaning purpose. There are also few shields that require disposal after their usage. These shields need to be replaced with another one. So make sure there are enough replacements present in the set before you zero in on one.

A good review will also indicate whether or not a pump is portable. Feeding your baby is too important to be ignored. A proper review of breast pumps can help you a great deal in this regard, so keep well informed. Before you purchase a pump style advanced or the avent isis breast pump read reviews and educate yourself on the various features and parts offered. Purchasing a breastpump can make or break your breastfeeding experience. You don’t want to cut corners when it comes to buying a breastpump because cheap models can hurt your nipples, take a long time to pump milk and leave you very frustrated.

Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump Review

I’m quite happy with the Ameda Purely Yours breast pump and I’m glad I chose it over the Medela Pump In Style and Avent Breast Pumps I looked at. It’s really comfortable, and very easy to figure out. I use it with the hands free pumping bra, which makes it even easier. The thing I like most about it is that it allows me to adjust the suction and speed to my liking, which changes sometimes. Also, it’s simple to switch from dual pumping to single pumping.

I’ve been pumping every day for 2 months and everything has held up very well (even the valves that everyone told me would rip after a month). Cleaning is a piece of cake. I just put it in the sink with all the dishes and run it under hot water together, then let it dry for the next pumping session.
It doesn’t come with a bag, but I bought one and it’s very easy to take around. The unit is very light, and not as big as some of the other pumps. The few times that I’ve taken it out of the house have been hassle-free.

The one thing that may pose a problem to some people is the noise. It’s a very powerful pump, and subsequently it’s motor runs pretty loudly. After every pump it beeps, which definitely can get annoying after a while. However, I pretty much exclusively pump at home, so I am not very aware of it most of the time. If I was pumping regularly at work I might be more conscious of it.

Another thing is that I had some trouble with the storage bags, so I switched over to use the Playtex milk storage system. The pump and bags work fine together. The pump is definitely worth the price, and I plan on using it for all of my future children. Once you give it a try you won’t see any reason to switch brands.

Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.
