The Moby Baby Wrap Affords Numerous Advantages For New Moms

Comfort, security and versatility are just a few of the many adjectives you could use to describe the moby baby wrap! Its design uses the strength of your back and shoulders to carry the weight of your baby. Using only a wide piece of fabric (there are no fasteners, snaps or buckles) you and baby are comfortable as you decide how tightly and in what position you wrap baby to yourself. If you have twins, there’s even a Twin Hold for your babies.

With easy-to-follow instructions, single-stretch cotton and the width of the moby wrap, you’re ensured of a secure hold. If your newborn’s head requires cradling, you can easily arrange the fabric for that purpose. With your hands free, you can go anywhere and do anything while knowing your baby is securely held to you. And your contented baby is free to hear your heart and feel your warmth.

The moby baby wrap is perfect for premature babies, because they benefit from the skin-to-skin practice of something called kangaroo care. As your baby thrives and grows, the baby wrap accommodates up to 45 lbs. Because experts agree on how important it is to hold your baby closely and frequently, baby wraps uniquely fit the bill. Your body provides the pleasure, security, sound and warmth that are so essential to healthy development. When baby gets fussy, use the moby wrap and see how quickly baby will settle and naturally fall asleep. It’s so versatile you can wear it with baby facing you, the world, on your back or on your side. And, when baby’s grown out of the moby wrap, maybe it will become baby’s blankie! Cleaning is a snap because the baby wrap can be machine washed and dried.

The basic baby wrap instructions are simple. With the logo tag at your navel, place the moby baby wrap at your waist and cross the sides behind your back and up and over each shoulder. Tuck each piece under the logo tag fabric, cross those pieces in the front, and bring the remaining fabric behind your back. You can either tie a knot here or, if there’s enough fabric, cross the pieces and tie a knot at your front. Then spread the fabric over your back and across your shoulders for a comfortable fit. Now you’re ready for baby!

One of the versatile holds you can do with a moby wrap is called the Cradle Hold. Now that you’re wearing the basic baby wrap, fold the shoulder fabric in half so a pocket is created on each shoulder. In the pocket closest to you, place baby’s upper body in that pocket, and spread the fabric over baby’s torso and bottom.  Supporting baby’s legs with the opposite arm, place baby’s legs in the other pocket, and spread the fabric to support baby’s legs, bottom and back. Finding the logo section at the center waist, pull this fabric up and over baby. Spread the fabric on your shoulders. You are both comfortable and secure, ready for anything.
